NHRIs in the Asia Pacific region are invited to submit a proposal by 24 September 2021.

National Human Rights Institutions (NHRIs) in the Asia Pacific region are invited to submit a proposal for consultancy support, to assist them with developing integrated approaches to human rights and sustainable development.
The NHRI·EU Project is a capacity development project funded by the European Union involving the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions (GANHRI); regional networks of National Human Rights Institutions (NHRIs); and individual NHRIs.
The aim of the project is to enhance the role of NHRIs and their global and regional networks in protecting and promoting human rights. It is coordinated by the Danish Institute for Human Rights (DIHR) on behalf of GANHRI.
A component of the Project focuses on supporting NHRIs to contribute to a human rights-based approach to the follow-up and review of the sustainable development goals (SDGs).
Regional exchange processes have been carried out in the regions of the Asia Pacific, Africa, Europe and Latin America in 2020 and 2021, in coordination with the GANHRI Working Group on Sustainable Development and the regional NHRI networks.
As a follow-up to the regional exchanges, consultants will be engaged in each region to support selected NHRIs to work more effectively to enhance a human rights-based approach to SDGs in its national context.
All NHRIs in the Asia Pacific region are invited to submit a proposal under this call, to engage a consultant to provide direct and bespoke support, to enhance their engagement in national SDG processes.
For more information, please download the Call for Proposals document from the APF website.
