Commission establishes election complaints unit

The unit will investigate allegations of human rights violations by government officials in relation to the upcoming Presidential election.
The Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka has established a special unit to accept complaints in relation to the 2019 Presidential Election, scheduled to be held on 16 November.
The unit will investigate allegations of human rights violations by government officials in the context of the election.
Individuals can make complaints to the Commission via a 24-hour hotline, by email, by fax and by letter.
