Commission highlights rights issues in annual report

The National Human Rights of Commission of Mongolia recently submitted its 14th Annual Report on Human Rights and Freedoms in Mongolia.

The National Human Rights of Commission of Mongolia recently submitted its 14th Annual Report on Human Rights and Freedoms in Mongolia to the State Great Khural, which will consider and respond to the recommendations made by the Commission.

The Commission also hosted a public meeting on 14 April 2015 to present the report to civil society groups. More than 80 participants, including journalists and representatives from human rights NGOs, attended the gathering.

The 2014 Annual Report addresses issues concerning rights of human rights defenders and human rights education. It also focuses on some human rights issues in orphanages and nursing houses, as well as the right to labour of police officers.
