Nepal: New NHRC members take oath of office

The newly-appointed members of the National Human Rights Commission of Nepal took their oath of office in the presence of the President.
The newly-appointed members of the National Human Rights Commission of Nepal (NHRC) took their oath of office on 20 October 2014 at a ceremony held in the presence of the President.
Chief Justice Ram Kumar Prasad Sah administered the oath of office to the incoming NHRC Chairperson Justice Anup Raj Sharma.
Chairman Sharma then administered the oath to the other members appointed to the Commission Justice Prakash Osti, Sudip Pathak, Mohana Ansari and Govinda Sharma Paudyal.
Present on the occasion were Prime Minister Sushil Koirala, Minister for Law, Justice, Constituent Assembly and Parliamentary Affairs Narahari Acharya, Chief Secretary of the Government of Nepal Lilamani Poudyal, Chief of Army Staff Gaurav Shumsher JB Rana and the special class officials of the constitutional bodies and the government.
