28th APF Annual General Meeting and Biennial Conference

This year's event will mark the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration on Human Rights and 30 years of NHRIs and the Paris Principles.

The 28th APF Annual Meeting and Biennial Conference, to be hosted by the National Human Rights Commission of India (NHRC) will bring together APF member institutions, as well as representatives from governments, civil society and UN agencies in the Asia Pacific.
During the meeting, APF Forum Councillors will have the opportunity to discuss issues of joint common concern, as well as a range of business-related issues.
The event will also include the APF Biennial Conference, held in partnership with the NHRC. This year’s Conference will mark the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration on Human Rights. We will also celebrate 30 years of national human rights institutions and the Paris Principles; with a sub-theme on the environment and climate change.
The Biennial Conference will provide an opportunity for APF members, civil society, government representatives, academics, and UN agencies from the Asia Pacific region to share good practices to support communities to respond to human rights impacted by environmental harm and a changing climate.
