The Commission has co-hosted a training program on labour rights for trade union officials and other stakeholders in the far west of Mongolia.

The National Human Rights Commission of Mongolia has co-hosted a training program on labour rights for trade union officials and other stakeholders in Zavkhan province, in the far west of the country.

The program, held on 10-11 October 2018, was organized in partnership with the Confederation of Mongolian Trade Unions and the General Agency for Specialized Inspection, with financial support from the Friedrich Ebert Foundation.

Around 60 participants attended the program, including representatives from local trade unions, the Confederation of Mongolian Trade Unions and State Senior Inspectors of the General Agency for Specialized Inspection from four western provinces (Zavkhan, Bayan-Ulgii, Govi-Altai, Uvs and Khovd).

The two-day program provided an opportunity for trade union members and State Senior Inspectors to exchange information on the current challenges in relation to implementation of human rights and labour rights, as well as issues in relation to labour inspection.

Participants were also able to work together to identify potential areas for future cooperation and develop action plans to achieve common goals.
